No elimination on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa
For the second straight year, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa will have three finalists. With no elimination taking place this week, Vaishali Made, Shoumen Nandi and Yashita Sharma will contest for the coveted Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2009 title at the finals which will probably take place on 24 January.
Talking about the action that took place yesterday, a little birdie from the set says, “There was no elimination yesterday. Himesh Reshammiya thundered that if any one is eliminated today then he’ll quit the show. He felt that all the three contestants were equally brilliant that day and so it will be unfair to evict anyone. When Himeshji speaks, everyone listens. The two other mentors Adesh Srivastava and Pritam agreed with Himesh and thus it was decided that there will be no elimination. As a result there will be three finalists.”
In another action of the day, Jagjit Singh and Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia were the special guests on the ghazal special show. The two eminent artistes were highly impressed with the three singers. In the next three episodes, the show will be shot in the native city of each of the three finalists. Thus fans in Mumbai, Kolkata and Delhi will get a chance to be up close with Vaishali, Shoumen and Yashita respectively.
As per sources, Deepika Padukone is tipped to be at the grand finale which will take place in Mumbai. The channel is also trying to woo Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle to grace the final. It’s also buzzed that the channel was trying to have the final at the Gateway of India but security concerns may be an issue.

Good news.. Good news..Good news !!!
Vaishali has finally received very well deserved Sangeet Chakra after a huge time gap and made her Rock gharana proud!
Congratulations and thank you to her fans , Himesh Reshammiya fans and all her supporters for making her position strong in TOP 3!
Earlier she was blessed with her first Sangeet Chakra after her superhit performance, 'Char dinonka pyar ho rabba, Lambi Judai' !
Vaishali fans expected her to win Sangeet chakra after 'Der na hojaye', 'Teri ore hay Rabba', 'Satyam Shivam Sundaram', 'Amir Khan special round' and recently after Past challenger's duet round too , but unfortunately Sangeet chakra kept rotating between Yashita-Pratibha-Zahir-Soumen !
But Vaishali has finally won the Sangeet Chakra once again by beating all her competitors .
One more unexpected result coming up on Friday, well..none other than Pratibha Singh Baghel of Lakshya gharana has been eliminated who was supposed to be the most popular and judge's favourite contestant.
Shankar Mahadevan, the most popular, highly respected and sensible judge-mentor 's gharana is now out of this challenge.
We all are going to miss Shankar Mahadevan for his accurate judgement , melodious singing and his soft corner for Vaishali !

Presenting yet another memorable flawless performance by Vaishali Made !!

Vaishali proved it once again with her versatile singing that she is not just made for soft and sweet songs!
'Jile jile' song is Vaishal Bhardwaj's amazing composition which is based on Latin American style passioante dance music !

Vaishali managed it all with her co singer , Debojeet Dutta.

Vaishali Made :
While at one end the bramhastra results disappointed with the entry of Non –deserving candidate over deserving ones, another entries gave a new boost to the show and the entrant was none other than our own Saregamapa Marathi winner-MAHAGAYIKA- Vaishali Made !
Since Vaishalis entry the competition had reached new level , and vaishali kept the promice she had made through her very first performance ‘ Nimbooda’ for which none of the mentors could stop themselves from giving her Highest marks ‘ HISTORY ‘
Vaishali had to face Bottom 3 in very forst week of the competition due to lack of votes but she gave a bewutiful best of the week performance on ‘ ishq bina ‘ in dat situation and since dat time never looked back .Next week the performance lead her to top 2 spot .she is the single participant who has not given any weak performance. Her performance on Jannat song ‘ lambi judai ‘ had brought all mentors on stage and it resulted in her winning the ‘ Sangeet Chakra’ (Highest votes) for the next week. But sadly this deserving would be winner is not given a deserving treatment on the show .Her certain memorable performances such as ‘ Der na ho jaye’ , ‘ teri ore’ , ‘ Rangeela re’ , ‘ Satyam shivam sundaram ‘ deserved standing ovation but din get one . On the other hands contestant like Asma is given history for her below average performances and other participants receive standing ovation by mentors for ordinary performances.
Vaishali has a very matured , sweet, soulful voice which would be an ideal for playback singer in bollywood which has been always mentoned by mentors but still it is really sad to see that she is not given enough support by her own mentor Himesh reshmiya who always promotes other gharana participant Yashita more than his own ACE Vaishali for unknown reason .
Vaishali is always supported more from other gharana mentor Singer/ MD Shankar mahadevan who has agiven applauds for vaishali since her SRGMP marathi days , wish she would hav been in shankars gharana , which was her own wish as well !
WHY VAISHALI RECEIVED SANGEET CHAKRA ONLY ONCE?
Despite of being the most consistent performer and the best voice on show , why vaishali received highest votes for only once , while other participants, yashita-pratibha-soumen-zaheer have received it twice/ thrice ?
The simple reasons for this are :
1) Vaishali is married and has three months old daughter , although channel used this to catch TRPs , certain narrow minded viewers still cant see a simple girl being topper !
2) She lacks support from her own mentor who has focused more on Yashita .
3)Last but not the least, she is only a GOOD SINGER, she doesn’t know how to do drama, how to make people laugh and all tactics !
WILL VAISHALI BE ABLE TO ENTER GRAND FINALE or THIS ‘’MUMBAI KOYAL’’ WOULD END UP BEING THIRD RUNNER UP OF VISHAWAYUDH?
Well friends for fans likeus she is already a winner but probably shes not in channels good books .
So lets all hope and Pray for VAISHALI , dats what we can do now , but as many say’ khuda ke ghar mein der haii andher nahi’’ we can still hope vaishali wud emerge a winner !
Last but not the least I wanna mention one thing , as many musical experts say , to be a number one female playback singer in Hindi or marathi film industry , a voice which has a trend like Mangeshkar sisters, Lata didi and asha tai is required, and in so many reality shows those hav came so far , after Shreya ghoshal I have found dat type of voice in only 2 particiapants, One is NIHIRA JOSHI from C-05 and another is VAISHALI MADE ! …so its in viewers hand to make this statement true !

Vaishali Made : Underrated singer of SaReGaMaPa??
Vaishali entered in SaReGaMaPa Challenge'09 as a regional winner wild card entry!
Since then, she has given most consistent and melodious performances every week.
She never had any weak performance.
She always received good comments from Mentors.
Shankar Mahadevan's recent comment was appreciable, "Vaishali, you always keep the standard of this show high”!
Vaishali matched with Shankar Mahadevan ji in duet performance.
She sounded as good as the original singer.
But unfortunately, I feel something is going wrong!
I am raising my views here, please feel free to share yourr views by commenting on this article.
1. Except "Lambi Judai", Vaishali never got strong encouragement from mentors which she deserved.
‘Der na ho jaye’ and ‘Satyam Shivan Sundaram’ performances were worth offering her a ‘Standing ovation’.
No offence meant for Debojeet, Pratibha and Yashita , But these 3 singers received standing ovation, strong encouragement from mentors so often for just average performances.
I feel sad for Vaishali for not getting much appreciation and support that she always deserved!
The only focus she gets is all about her personal life and sympathy!
2. Vaishali received Sangeet Chakra only once for ‘Lambi Judai’ performance.
She should have received it after ‘Der na ho jaye’, Satyam Shivam Sundaran and Amir Khan special episode too when she had performed much better than others!
She is getting public support from all over world and a Big voting support from Himesh Reshammiya fans.
Still my question remains same, “Why Vaishali is not getting ‘Desh ki dhadkan, Sangeet Chakra’ award?
3. I would like to see Himeshji getting more aggressive for Vaishali’s victory as he was for Vinit and Aneek.
Himeshji is blessed with a huge fan following and all his fans believe and trust his words.
Whenever he has done any vote appeals to his fans, they have always poured voted and made his singers top vote gainers!
I really wish Himeshji should start doing vote appeals for Vaishali since she is the only singer left in Rock Gharana.
4. She didn’t get history for “Zooth bole kauwa kate’ but Yashita got it for her average performance ‘Talli hogayi’ and Pratibha too received history for ‘Daiyya re daiyya mai kaha aa fasi’ which was not up to the mark !
5. Shankar Mahadevan and Vaishali’s duet was good but I was expecting Himesh ji and Vaishali’s duet on mentor special round since Himesh ji is her mentor and not Shankar Mahadevan!
That way Himeshji could have supported her more and she could have received more public support from Himesh Reshammiya’s huge fan following.
6. According to the recent spoilers, Debojeet is eliminated and Yashita has received the Sangeet Chakra.
Also, Soumen and Pratibha are going to catch more attention since the channel is promoting them by announcing ‘Real life couple’ on reality show!
I can see Vaishali is getting ignored and underrated when the Grand Finale is getting closer!
Eliminated singer, Asma is also getting too much of focus!
I really want channel to focus on Vaishali’s talent too!
If they continue to ignore Vaishali more, then next week is definitely going to be the final week for her.
Anyways, let’s all pray for the best and wish to see her in TOP 3!

SRGMP 2009 seems to be nowhere as popular compared to SRGMP 2007. Even Harpreet and Junaid had more popularity than most contestants this year. How do we measure popularity?
Orkut fan club sizes: We see that later contestants like Vaishali and Soumen are struggling to set up their fan club sizes. While Pratibha and Asma have sizes in the range of 200-400 people, most others are even lesser. Vaishali's fan club size ranges in 50-100s, and Soumen being the unlucky one with merely 30 people.
Youtube video counts: Seems like Asma and debojit are more popular than others. But this s only marginally true.
In any case, the numbers look about 10 times less than what C2007 numbers were, at this stage. I don't know why? but may be one reason being random "themes" that are forced upon and apathetic song selections. They are trying to sing the same songs as everyone sings ...and there are no striking out performances. I would think if they select more old songs (than just these new songs which are repeatedly sung) the contestants will get a lot of room to show their specialities.
Now only good news for Vaishali is that, this blog brings together some loyal fans
for Vaishali and her popularity is only on the rise, day by day (see the image below). We have about close to 500 returning visitors on the site. This is more than any fan club for any other contestants (on orkut) at least. And what is better is that many of the visitors on this blog are choosing to follow the voting link.
I hope Zee considers some of her popularity figures. Things are getting crucial now, and I feel Vaishali is at the maximum risk of being eliminated.

Teri Aur ...hai rabba
Yet another flawless performance by Vaishali. Although she got one of the lesser popular songs, but here is where is her chance to give this song a new life and new popularity. Her version is definitely going to be remembered. She sang it with complete finesse and professionalism in her voice.
Also enjoy Kombdi palali. Unfortunately SRGMP doesn't have live orchestra to give support to these impromptu songs. I wonder why?

It was Himeshji’s ‘Mahiya too’ song from Karzz.
Himeshji is blessed with unique high pitch voice quality.
It is very difficult to match his scale for a female singer even.
I tried this song using one octave down than the original but I was still not comfortable with high notes!
So finally I had to change my song for Karzz promotion round.

Best quality of Himeshji as a mentor:
His strong encouragement to his singers is just amazing.

I never watched mentor’s comments carefully, so I can’t comment.
But as a music director I love Ismail Darbar ji’s compositions a lot.

Salman Khan is the sweetest, very down to earth, kind hearted celebrity I have even seen.
It was a pleasant surprise for me when he requested ‘Kombdi Palali’ ,a Marathi song for me to sing.
His mother liked my performance on Zee Marathi Saregamapa and she requested Salman Khan to mention that on show.
It was so sweet of him to dance on ‘Kombdi Palali’ and encouraging me.
Salman Khan memorized last season’s performances, singers and their names too.
He enquired about their career graphs, also offered help for all aspiring singers in Saregamapa.
He talked to every one in his own style which made us so comfortable.

For those familiar with music scene in Mumbai, Haribhau Vishwanath is one of the very well known names in hunting for musical instruments. Here, I am posting their e-mail. I have personally purchased electronic tanpura/tabla machine from them about 8 years ago.

We like very much the melodious and velvet sound of vaishali starts from sa re ga ma pa marathi. After winning the sa re ga ma pa marathi competition and got a award of " mahagayika ". One day she and her husband Mr. Anant Made walked in front of our shop. We called her immediately. She came to our shop. She was very happy to see all the musical instruments in our shop. She was in hurry to catch a bus to Pune. She went for the recording of music director "Salil Kulkarni". She told us when she will back from Pune she will definitely come to your shop.
After some days she came with her husband to our shop. She already purchased one electronic tanpura from us six to seven months back. But that time we did not know her. Afterwards, when she visited to our shop after coming back from pune. We gave her a real best quality female tanpura pitch black 4 and black 5. Vaishali 's pitch is black = 5. So we tune the tanpura and gave it to her . Also one electronic tabla, as a musical gift from us. This gift is for her perfect riyaz of classical singging. Her guru is also well known classical singer " Pandit Shri Ajay Pohankar". They are also well known to us.
She was very happy. She enjoying music in to our shop. She find many useful classical raagas books in our shop. And so whenever she come to our shop she said I am not come to your shop but I come to "a swar mandir of maa Saraswati".
Now she is just like my daughter, and so i always support her. She is also called me "dada" and my wife "Seema tai". She is just like our family member.
She is from a small village of maharashtra. I am personally proud of her and her struggleful life. We always pray to the god to bless her and make full of success in her musical carrier. Every musical event of "sa re ga ma pa challenge 2009 " friday and saturday we are giving the compliments to her. We discuss about her song of that day. We have 100% guarentee that she will win the award of mahagayika of sa re ga ma pa challenge 2009. Our support and blessing is always with her.

Vaishali Rocks!
Ladies and Gentlemen, presenting Vaishali Made!
Today she completely captured the show with her "der na ho jaye". I saw one technical coomment by Himesh today, "sur and suron ki shrutiyaan" ...Vaishali's song was not just sur-perfect ...but it was shruti enriched. Listen out for the lines "mar gayeeee hum khuli rahi aankhen...." there is so much dard in her shrutis. However, for the sake of perfection, I must mention that she went slightly off in her sargam in the beginning, but she finished that part with her Mind-blowing soprano throw on the higher parts.
Yet another good version of this song was done by Rithisha in SVOI today. However she is an Alto voice singer (just like poonam last year). Vaishali has a mezzo-soprano voice which does better justice to Lata's soprano voice songs. Rithisha also tried to capture the surs, but it looked more calculated on her part. BTW, in my opinion Rithisha is the best singer in SVOI, why she gets the lowest marks is a yet another story ...for some other time!
